Prioritizing Expenditures, Analyzing Savings
Which of your buildings have the highest potential for energy and water upgrades? Which upgrades will result in financial returns - and how much can you realistically expect to save? RealWinWin will tell you through our three-phase Building Triage review and analysis process. Read below to understand the process.
Step One: Remote Survey and Interview
Utilizing RealWinWin’s proprietary Building Triage Questionnaire as a framework for the discussion, a RealWinWin Energy Engineer (PhD or PE) will conduct a remote interview with the Property Manager and/or Chief Engineer.
Step Two: Findings Report and Phone Review
The findings of this study will be delivered in a 4 to 6 page report that summarizes the subject property’s building systems, assigns a score of 1 to 5 for each of three key metrics (energy systems, utility cost intensity and rebate opportunities), and highlights the most promising opportunities for cost-effective energy-efficiency improvement. This report will be reviewed by RWW during a conference call with key personnel, such as the Chief Engineer, Property Manager, and Building Owner or Owner’s Representative, and will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Building energy systems summary
- Energy-reducing capital improvement recommendations
- Energy-reducing low-cost/no-cost (“retro-commissioning”) recommendations
Buildings that exhibit high potential for cost-effective energy-efficiency improvement during Phase I will be candidates for further study in Phase II.
