An expert in managing growth for entrepreneurial companies, Doug worked with two leading venture capital firms prior to joining RealWinWin. In August 2003, through an introduction by Mid-Atlantic Venture Funds, Doug began working with RealWinWin to assess the market opportunity and assist the company in planning for growth. Doug joined RealWinWin as the interim Chief Operating Officer in November of 2003 with responsibility for solidifying revenue generation and implementing systems and processes. He was named Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in 2005.
In addition to his work with venture capital companies, Doug has had considerable operational experience, and held senior management positions in Sales, Sales Management, Sales Operations, Customer Service and Information Management. Prior to joining RealWinWin, Doug managed the growth of the commercial services division of a cable-based telecommunications provider from a $35 million revenue run rate to a $92 million run rate over a two-year period.
Doug holds an MBA from the Wharton School, an MSE from the University of Pennsylvania and BA degree from Colgate University.
Mark Jewell founded RealWinWin in early 2001 to provide energy usage optimization services to owners and operators of commercial real estate. Mark has been involved in the real estate industry for more than 20 years and in the energy efficiency business for over 10 years.
Prior to RealWinWin, Mark founded and ran EEFG, an energy-efficiency consultancy that designed upgrades for more than 350 buildings. Mark also has served as a Senior Vice President for a major commercial real estate investment firm in California.
Starting in 1994, Mark worked closely with the US Environmental Protection Agency and was instrumental in creating and promoting EPA's Energy Star Buildings for Commercial Real Estate program. During the course of that assignment, Mark helped create software that allocates the costs and benefits of energy-efficiency upgrades in income properties. On the strength of this software, he successfully recruited building owners and managers representing more than one billion square feet of commercial real estate into the Energy Star program.
Mark holds a BS degree in Economics and Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Leigh has extensive operational experience in managing both startups and high-growth communications businesses. She joined RealWinWin in October, 2005, as both an investor and Chief Operating Officer with the primary focus of turning RealWinWin's backlog of project opportunities into revenues.
From 1996 through 2000, Leigh was the Chief Operating Officer of NTL Inc., the largest cable company in the UK. With annualized revenues in excess of $2 billion and more than 20,000 employees, NTL Inc. is a full- service telecommunications company offering telephone, cable, Internet and broadband services to consumers and businesses across the UK and Ireland.
Prior to NTL, Leigh served as Chief Executive Officer of Cellular One of Ohio and Michigan, now owned by Verizon. Cellular One was serving in excess of two million customers at the time of its buyout in 1996. Leigh was the fifth employee at Cellular Communications, Inc. in 1984 and held various operational roles leading to CEO of the joint venture with AirTouch from 1993 through 1996.
In 2002, Leigh directed the startup of a software company formed to commercialize a suite of knowledge management tools developed by British Telecom. During 2004, Leigh was an investor and Chief Financial Officer of a startup Voice over IP telecom business.
Leigh earned a BA from Williams College and a MBA from NYU.
Craig Tropea

Craig joined RealWinWin in August, 2004, bringing with him more than twelve years of experience selling software and services to Fortune 500 companies. Initially tasked with developing a partner channel, establishing stronger brand recognition, and increasing sales activity, Craig created and implemented an alliance partnership program. His efforts resulted in the signing of some of the energy industry's most recognizable names. Craig also secured key relationships with many of RealWinWin's largest clients and partners.
Prior to joining RealWinWin, Craig served as the Solutions Consulting Manager for Peregrine Systems. His responsibilities included the development of sales and pre-sales methodology, implementation of sales campaigns, and relationship development with channel partners. He also managed a sales and pre-sales organization of 25 individuals responsible for $23 million dollars in yearly revenue attainment.
In addition, Craig's experience includes development, sales and implementation of Facilities Management Software solutions for a Philadelphia-based architectural firm. In this position, he signed, delivered and managed the facilities tracking systems of the nation's largest bank and healthcare provider.
